Saddler’s Run is a loose affiliation of textiles, art, ideas and reflections. It is a place to be silent, to change, to wonder. On some days at least, all things may come together in Divine magic, and the silence of the heart emerge.
Art happens here. Art, not only with textiles, but with colour and character, with coffee and literature and song. It is a protected space, insofar as such a thing may be.
Many of the tangible works produced here have made their way into the lives of others. There are rugs on floors, blankets on beds, curtains on walls and windows, garments on bodies, and towels on rails and hooks. There are paintings and textile pieces on walls, and propped up waiting. There have been wonderful meals shared, friendships made, tears shed and transformations uncovered and celebrated. These also make their way into the lives of others.
The weaving dogs have been some of the brightest stars watching over us, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their presence and joy, which infects us all.
This online presence is an invitation to share a little of this special place. There will be stories, images, jumping-off points for growth and reflection and maybe, some window into Grace.
